GEPF members receive retirement benefits when they:

  • Go on normal retirement at the age of 60;
  • Take early retirement upon permission of their employer; or
  • Choose to retire, with penalties.

Taking normal retirement - what to do:

When going on normal retirement, the Human Resources department needs the following documents:

  • A correct and completed Withdrawal from Fund Application Z102 form.
  • A correct and completed Banking Details Z894 form.

The Human Resources department will then complete the remaining paperwork and submit this, together with the forms the member has completed, to GEPF.
